Jessica Paulhus completed her Master鈥檚 degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Rhode Island College and her Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision at Capella University. As a dual licensed clinician who specializes in both mental health and substance use, she has experience working in a variety of settings including community mental health centers, Intensive Outpatient and Partial Hospitalization programs, in home care, outpatient counseling, and crisis work. As an instructor, she utilizes a variety of engaging experiential activities that are carefully chosen to increase student learning potential.
Paulhus鈥檚 areas of research and clinical interests include co-occurring disorders, pedagogical practices in addiction studies, and substance use training within counselor education.
