Program Overview
The need for well-educated professionals at all levels of law enforcement, corrections, the court system and local/national security is growing. Prepare for a career in these increasingly dynamic fields through our Criminal Justice bachelor’s degree program.
Explore complex global and domestic criminal justice issues through a mix of targeted coursework in our major plus a core arts and sciences curriculum. Classes taught by industry professionals expand your understanding of these concepts in practice.
Participate in an internship in your area of interest to build work experience and industry connections that will help you stand out in the field. Past internship sites have included the US Secret Service, US Postal Service, police departments, attorney general and district attorney offices, and social service agencies.
The end result? You’ll acquire critical thinking and effective communication skills, as well as an appreciation for diversity, citizenship, leadership and public service, to perform at and progress through all professional levels in any criminal justice field.
Upon graduation, you’ll be prepared to pursue a potential career in court administration, private investigation, airport security and social services, or as a federal agent, police officer or border patrol agent.

In addition to classes, free elective credit can be applied to a number of options such as Directed Experiential Education (DEE), internship, minor or study abroad. You are encouraged to contact an advisor before scheduling free elective credits.
